Wow, Latham. This is so clearly a peek into your soul, your psyche, the depths of your brain and mind and heart leaking from the page to your manifested space. I’m inspired to read more, think more, and keep art at the forefront.
I love these little nooks that have so much story to them.
Thank you C.A. This ended up being so much fun to write. I really just wanted to try writing in a style that I wasn't sure I could pull off but felt inspired to try. And I was so happy with what came out. And as you can tell, art and books have kind of become an obsession.
It's never too late to start! I had a Nook that I took on deployment in 2011. I've since gone back and bought physical copies of the best books on there.
Thank you Silvio. I'm glad you like it. I tried really hard to recreate that photo of your guitar that you shared in Photography for Creatives, but I couldn't make it work. I love those instruments, even if I only play 2 bars in a day. Like you said, it really does save our lives.
Loved this Latham. So fascinating to see the intersection between great writers who also practice other forms of creative expression. I've mainly noticed photography, painting and playing an instrument.

I loved reading this, Latham, thank you ♥️
Thank you Sara. So good to see you here!
This was such a joy to read, Latham. It's so beautifully written.
I'm regretting being a Kindle owner for 15 years; I want shelves like that!

Thank you for reading! I'm grateful you liked it.
I love a home that loves its books. This was wonderful and inspiring, Latham.
Thank you Alissa. And thank you for the recommendation for the Jo Ann Beard essay. I haven't read it, but I'm excited to find it.
Fantastic read, Latham. Glad to see a piano and a guitar in your life. Like writing and reading, playing music saves our life.
