Ultimate Truth is the seamless being-in-place that comes with attending to Reality. -Pirke Avot 6:11 Three Thoughts on Truth What does it mean to actually seek Truth? Truth is what comes out of wisdom, earned through deep meditation, reflection, questioning, and learning. I think it comes when we can honestly set aside dogma, beliefs, and ego. But I don’t know many people who are actually capable of setting themselves aside to get to that ultimate Truth. Even when we learn new information or contemplate mysteries, is it really getting us closer to truth? I don’t know if those practices get me any closer. If you have any thoughts, I’d love to hear them.
In Spanish, Verdad means true, but it is the word we use in English to say verify. We arrive at truth through verification. Yet that doesn't mean the only truths that exist are limited to our own veracity. Mystery is everywhere and it is in fact true love. What good is truth without love? I believe there can be no such thing and I am not the first and will not be the last.
The cadence and rhythm of prayer and contemplation are a divine dialogue that for me has been one of truth. Reality even I would call it. And we of course are due for another one of these dialogues! live and in person please!
Indeed I believe with those who pursue nothing, they will find something. Foxes have dens and birds have nests...
Latham, I love hearing your reflections on truth. I think the whole idea of “setting ourselves aside” to get to the truth is Truth in itself, but not many people are willing to get that uncomfortable. Thanks for sharing :)

You’ve got me thinking about Nothing other than Truth
I guess writing NO THING next week is the beginning of your exploration?

I'm mulling your comment in deep exploration.
