Latham, I love hearing your reflections on truth. I think the whole idea of “setting ourselves aside” to get to the truth is Truth in itself, but not many people are willing to get that uncomfortable. Thanks for sharing :)
In Spanish, Verdad means true, but it is the word we use in English to say verify. We arrive at truth through verification. Yet that doesn't mean the only truths that exist are limited to our own veracity. Mystery is everywhere and it is in fact true love. What good is truth without love? I believe there can be no such thing and I am not the first and will not be the last.
The cadence and rhythm of prayer and contemplation are a divine dialogue that for me has been one of truth. Reality even I would call it. And we of course are due for another one of these dialogues! live and in person please!
Indeed I believe with those who pursue nothing, they will find something. Foxes have dens and birds have nests...
I suspect there's both an exploration and a verification process of arriving at Truth. If we only seek to verify what's in our current awareness, we stand a good chance of never getting to the real Truth. And if we never verify our exploration, we'll never know if it's actually true. I also have realized that in my past, I was very bad at verifying what I thought to be Truth. I don't think I'm alone.
We are very due for another one of these dialogues. I feel like I have both more to add and more to learn, and the last one left me with a wealth of insights to draw from.

thank you Grace. I feel like I've set myself aside and turned everything I knew upside down. Which is really scary and kind of cool
I'm mulling your comment in deep exploration.

I guess writing NO THING next week is the beginning of your exploration?
not the beginning, just another step on a never ending journey
You’ve got me thinking about Nothing other than Truth
